Kitty Harri’s Sculpture Garden

Under her maiden name Harri, Kitty has created an “Alternative Art Environment” on her two acres of mountain paradise, recently baptized Kitty Harri’s Sculpture Garden.

Over the last ten years, while writing novels (as Kitty Sewell) Kitty has also been sculpting and painting, adding steadily to her body of art. These include stone and wood carvings, murals, totem poles, wall mosaics, and a variety of sculptures in concrete, metal and glass. As her environment has grown, both as an exotic garden containing a huge diversity of trees, and a sculpture park, people have begun to take notice and have requested visits and tours.
This has had the joyful result in the imminent formal opening of the gardens, and also a program of “artists in residence”. Sculptors from a variety of countries have been, and signed up to come, to stay in a charming house in a nearby village while creating a sculpture for Kitty’s garden.

Kitty welcomes visitors by appointment, any sized group with a preference of a minimum of four people. Enjoy a two hour visit with glass of wine at hand, and a talk by Kitty, about her novels, her art, about other sculptors and their work. Have a wander along the terraces, sit down on one of the many benches and seats to take in the views of the Almijara and Cazulas mountain ranges and the blue Mediterranean to the south. On a rare and clear afternoon, the Rif Mountains of Morocco are visible on the horizon.
There is a small art gallery and W.C.

The gardens are not equipped for wheelchairs, unfortunately, and are not suitable for small children. Kitty Harri’s Sculpture Garden is an easy drive 20 minutes up from Almunecar on the coast, 45 minutes from Granada, and an hour from Malaga.
